This is your summer to level up. Through our partnership with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, youth aged 16–19 get real work experience, build in-demand skills, and earn money doing it.
This hands-on program is designed to build confidence, spark career curiosity, and give you a head start on your future.

US Forestry Workforce Development Summer Program
May 2026 - August 2026
Step outside the classroom and into the great outdoors. Through our partnership with the US Forest Service Youth Conservation Corps, youth aged 16–19 spend the summer doing meaningful conservation work on public lands while earning a paycheck and building a future.
This hands-on program puts you to work as part of a team on conservation projects across national forests and public lands, while exposing you to green careers, college pathways, and industry apprenticeships in natural resource management and urban forestry.
What you'll gain:
Paid outdoor work experience
Conservation and environmental stewardship skills
Career exposure in forestry, natural resources and green industries
Teamwork, communication and leadership experience

Summer Jam Day Camp Counselors in Training & Junior Camp Counselors
June 15 – August 7 | 9am – 4pm
This is not your average summer. Step into a leadership role, make a real impact on younger kids, and build skills that will follow you for life.
We are looking for motivated young people to join our 8-week summer day camp team as Counselors in Training (age 13) and Junior Camp Counselors (ages 14–15). You will learn what it means to lead, communicate, and show up for your community while having the best summer of your life.
